Wrestling: Elks stick Osseo 58-15

The Elk River wrestlers had eight pins on the way to a 58-15 victory over the Osseo Orioles on Tuesday evening  in Osseo.

Getting “sticks” were Evan Caldon at 119 in 2:29, Jake Staffenhagen at 125 in 5:05, Holton Lubinsky at 145 in 1:12, Austin Stevens at 152 in 2:15, Corey Collins in 3:29 at 160, Abe Williams in 4:46 at 171, Jory Lubinsky in 3:30 at  215, and Kyle Weimann in 1:15 at 285.

Zang Vang won 10-2 at 103, Yong Yee Vang won 11-4 at 112, and Austin Halloran won 5-1 at 130.

The Elks, ranked No. 11 in Class 3A, stayed unbeaten in dual meets at 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the NWSC. Their next match will  be Friday, Jan. 14, at  home against Andover.
