Paul R. Mitton, 65, of Elk River, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2011.
He was born Nov. 6, 1945, in Long Prairie to Richard and Genevieve Mitton. He graduated in 1963 at Blackduck High School in Blackduck Minn. Then continued his education at Staples Tech for heavy equipment.
In 1968 he married Terry Schroedl and enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Mr. Mitton worked at Mate Precision Tooling for 23 years and retired from there in October 2004. After retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing and best of all, camping.
The memorial service is today (Saturday, Jan. 8) at 1 p.m. at Dare’s Funeral Home of Elk River, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Terry; children, Troy, and Becky (Chris) Eddy; grandchildren, Amanda, Casie, and Makenna; great-grandson, Kaiden; brother, David (Mona) of Forest Lake; and sister, Lois of Tioga, Texas.
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
